This is by far the best rice cooker I've had. In the past, I've used Hitachi and National rice cookers that basically just heat up and cook the rice. This Zojirushi cooks the rice very evenly. I prefer my rice soft yet still resilient and the normal setting does that. It also keeps the rice from drying out if you leave it to warm. I've left it for a couple of hours and the rice remined perfect. Also, this rice cooker is quite easy to use.
