The rice from this cooker is not like what you will get from a $50 cooker. Having spend a lot of time overseas, you will see fuzy logic rice cookers going for well over $500 and sometimes $more in Japan. The fuzy logic is the only rice cooker to buy right now. IT DOES make a noticable difference.
Now whenever we order Chinese takeout, we tell them to keep the rice as we make it ourselfs.
It takes about an hour to make rice, but with the timer you just put the rice in sometim that afternoon and it will be ready when needed. Or just let it cook the rice early. It will keep the rice warm for hours if needed. Buy your rice in bulk, the best we can get localy is from the korean market, but bulk from the warehouse clubs is very tasty.
Here is a tip - use Hot water and the cooking times drop dramaticly.
